My mom would be one that I have used to compare myself to. Growing up, I ?saw what I didn’t want to be like in my mom’s life: abused, passive, and heavily veiled (after learning about the veils). However, she is a very caring, sweet, gentle, yet strong woman. I did not realize that a lot of mom’s qualities would be in my character. The other person would be my other mom – my spiritual mom, Pastor C. Some of the things that she has shared in her younger days, I can identify/relate in mine.

My mother was the first woman I compared myself to. She is a compassionate, dedicated, and prayer warrior. I reflected over my life there are three additional women. My Aunt is strong and very outspoken. These are characteristics I desired. Another woman I compared myself to was my former First Lady,. She had a career, knew how to enjoy life, have fun, and still live a Godly life. My former roommate who encourage and inspire me to be the best woman I can by continue to attend personal, professional, and spiritual development. She is truly a phenomenal woman.

My Mom! I chose her because that’s all the positive I had. She always seemed to have it all figured out. She’s been through so much and still stands strong. She’s been the example of the do’s and do not’s of life for me.

Along my journey, I have gleaned from many women, I gleaned from my mother’s dedication, compassion, and love for others and tenacity to endure. I gleaned from granny Pauline prayer, and last but not least Elder Dolris Patterson and the late Bishop Dorothy Washington. Elder Dolris Patterson who loved me unconditionally and taught me the art of intercession, and always rebuked me when needed. Then Bishop Washington, who taught me Spiritual Warfare, Holiness, Unconditional Love, Transparency and True Forgiveness.

1.I use myself most of the time I compare myself to the person I became when I was seeking the Holy Ghost to be filled and fell in love with what was my first true love Jesus Christ, I learned how to live Holy and I learn how to truly live right the Holy Ghost stripped me of everything that did not please him so often compare my life and the things that I am during to the things the Holy Ghost thought me. Why? so that I can remain that person that I became in the process of being filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongue. I compare myself to see if and where I have falling to get back in place where my fruit can remain.
    2. My mother because she was strong and walked in love and wisdom she loved the Lord and prayed often she know things only the Holy Spirit could tell her and would teach young women..
    3. My first lady because she prayed all the time she loved teaching young women.

Surprisingly I use my mother to compare myself to in order to make changes in my life. When I was growing up I would say to myself I do not want to be like my mother when I grow up. Hearing my mother’s story of the abuse she suffered with her father and leaving everything and everyone her grew up with and moving to a foreign country where she didn’t know the language or anyone, with my father to me was incredible. She is an amazing woman. My mother is not perfect but her strengths far out weight her weaknesses and I learned from both.

The Apostle Paul, through the course GOD has led me through sometimes the Journey of the Apostle Paul life encourages me to continue running the race. Every state GOD sent me to there was always something HE did through me being a yielded vessel but for me I believe there was always a great take away of more of GODs magnificent power expressed in the earth.

I have gleaned from several women I know both old and new. I want to be a blessing to God in the advancing of his Kingdom. I choose to follow the Godly examples set by these women in order to pursue the God given assignment for me to carry out in the earth. I want the Lord to please with me, so I need to complete my part.

A woman I met in the Emergency Department 30 years ago at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. She was the registrar responsible for getting my grandfather through the admission process. Her genuine kindness and open display of a love for Jesus convinced me (during a 30-year friendship) that I could trust my life to Christ. She does not fit the mold of the stereotypical Christian woman, however, I’ve never met anyone with a relationship more authentic or love so genuine. Boldly and unashamedly proud of who she is in our Lord, she has been an anchor and a compass during some of the most complicated and treasured times in my life, as well as the lives of many.

Evangelist Theresa Parker. I was under her Leadership when I lived in Michigan. She shared her life with the women, the good, the bad, and the ugly. She help me as she went through learning to be a woman, mother, wife and a human being. Great Intercessor. Following her spiritually and naturally did help change my life. I chose her because she was open as much as possible with her life experiences so that it could and did help you get through yours.

I would have to say Yvonne Gipson-Johnson, and I chose her because I walked with her during her days of leadership as a powerful intercessor for the body of Christ, and although she had the responsibility of covering a well known Bishop, she never got big headed or prideful, she was and still is today a sweet, humble, and caring women of God, and I have seen God elevate her from level to level and still elevate her she is now a Chaplin for a Police department, she was not married at the time and stayed faith to her calling, and I saw God bless her to get married to her childhood sweetheart, she has a son now and still in ministry the Bishop and travels all over the world, what a great example
