The three wisdom points are as follows: 1. Don’t neglect time in God’s word- Although I got tired of waiting, I kept reading God’s word and praying for a breakthrough. Some days I had to push myself to pray but I made it through regardless of how I felt. 2. Get your focus off of yourself- I would volunteer at Senior Centers and assisted one of my friends who owned a restaurant. It took my mind off of my problems and provided a lending hand to those in need. This was a major turning point for me during my time of setbacks. 3. Surrender your desires to God- I finally realized that I had to surrender all my problems to God and leave them at the altar. Fortunately, I did not go back to retrieve my problems. This was a cathartic experience for me.

• Intimacy with God – key to break through
• Focusing on self/my pain/my lack short circuits God’s response
• When I delight myself in God, He will give me what to desire thus advancing the Kingdom of God

1) Do not neglect “quality time” with God and in His Word.
2) Get my focus off of myself and concentrate on the things of God and not my situations.
3) Surrender my desires to God and He will do the rest.
